Launching an NFT in the marketplace can seem daunting if you have never set up a crypto wallet before. NFTs, put simply, are digital assets (pictures, video, gaming characters) being sold across the block chain. There are many different marketplaces today to pick from and Opensea is the largest.

Courses are popping up all over the internet on how to make NFTs. It’s a new craze for creatives and non designers alike. Why? It’s a way to make a name for yourself. It requires only a few graphic design skills to get your work onto Opensea, and in some cases no design skills at all. That’s precisely why I launched the NFT Crash Course for beginners, which is under trademark, for students who want to get a collection launched.

The NFT Crash Course focuses on the tricks to get beginners up and running in the NFT marketplace. I cover how to digitize art, how to conduct market research, how to plan a collection, and how to launch the collection. I walk students through how to set up a wallet and list their art.

In the NFT space there are a lot of artists dogging NFTs and saying it’s a waste of time. I agree that it’s a waste of time if you don’t do research and plan your launch. I provide an indepth guide to how to launch a collection properly.

The truth is you need an audience or a marketing strategy to be successful. You also need a good idea.

Launching with purpose will give your collection more value in collectors eyes. Yes, weird pixel art pizza graphics have sold for ridiculous amounts of money. However, if you think like a collector, then you will also land upon an idea that collectors want to see. It’s less a matter of being an artist than following a strategy for success.

Artists also tend to stick with one idea and launch, rather than consider new types of NFTs on the market. With all of the innovative technology, many different types of art can be launched in this space. You might find a transformative idea that launches your career, such as a cool new generative art technique.
